La Sala seeks a dynamic and committed part-time Executive Director to work alongside our Board and Committees to facilitate the general operations of the organization. The ED of La Sala plays an important role in supporting the Latinx creative community of the Puget Sound region.

The ideal candidate:
Shows demonstrated management, strategic planning and leadership experience in their past experience.
Has an understanding of and demonstrated involvement in the Latinx creative community of the PNW region.
Is highly organized and can facilitate communication between multiple Board members, community members, and Committees.
Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.
Will maintain accountability and timelines with the Board and committee members.
Ability to oversee event planning and communications with vendors.
Basic graphic design (Canva) and social media (Facebook, Instagram) knowledge.
Helpful software proficiencies: Google Drive, MailChimp, Clockify and Squarespace.
Status: This is a part-time contract position with an initial length of 1 year.
Compensation: $35 per hour - estimated yearly value of contract is $25,000 (variable depending on hours).
Hours: 10-15 per week.
Location: This position will be primarily virtual, except for attendance of our arts programming (occasional evenings and weekends) which are generally in-person in the Seattle/Tacoma region.

Organizational operations and oversight
Oversee the general operations of the organization by communicating with the Chairs of multiple committees.
Maintain a task-list and calendar for the organization.
Communicate with Board, committee members and volunteers about jobs, roles and to-dos.
Oversee the work of contractors and volunteers.
Assist the Board committees with various event-planning needs, such as booking locations and catering, communicating with performers/artists about dates, and organizing volunteers for event set-up/take-down.
Current Special Program Duties:
Work with Funding Research Committee to set meetings and develop relationships with contacts at major funders, advocating for greater Latinx representation in regional funding
Work with Fundraising Committee to develop and implement an individual giving plan/Membership program for artists and stakeholders.
Marketing
General social media and promotion of La Sala events and sharing events happening within the Latinx arts community throughout WA state.
Email newsletter maintenance and creation via the Mailchimp system.
Writing and sending of press releases for La Sala events.
Website maintenance and updates (SquareSpace) or communicating with someone who can do this.
Financial and Development
Assist with submission of expenses and grant reimbursement reports to our funders and fiscal sponsor.
Assist the Treasurer with maintaining an updated budget throughout the year.
Work with grant-writers on the Board to submit necessary grants.
